Thrive at 55...

We have 6 kids, ages 35, 32, 31, 29, 28, and 10. My last blessing arrived wen i was 45, so I made a decision to lose weight and get fit to keep up with the youngest. So far I've lost 34 of 47 pounds, and I'm getting ready to test for my purple belt in karate. I'm scheduled for surgery on my right foot a week from Tuesday, and am concerned about the challenge of keeping the weight off during my recovery. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

It sounds like you are doing the right things. It sounds as if you're active and losing weight. Good luck to you.0

I suggest sending your ten year old off to an extended sleepover and go on a cruise. Load your e-reader with novels.
When you are fully recovered you can return to your fitness routine.
My doctor sister checks mothers in to the hospital if they need to be off their feet. Nothing like that at home.0
