I love to run outside. I was wondering if i could get any tips especially when it is snowy or icy to make it easier to run outside? The cold doesn't bother me but when I have trouble with my footing that makes it much harder to to run outside. Are there any tricks of the trade?

I have heard good things about Yaktrax. I have not personally tried them but I know a few folks who love them. https://www.yaktrax.com/

You can get special shoes or accessories like Yaktrax, spikes, or screws, but whether they're a good choice for you really depends on your climate, where you run (trails vs. road/sidewalk), and the amount of snow and ice. Personally, where I live don't find it's necessary to use anything special on my feet when running in the snow. Once most of the side walks are shoveled, I'm just careful to look out for icy patches and black ice.
Have you checked the Runner's World forums? There's tons of useful information there.0 -

when i can, i run in the road against traffic. and i have a light with me when it's dark so i can see the ice0
