In need of some good running shoes

Howdy everyone,
I'm in the process of trying to get back into shape I have obviously starting exercising and running (even though I detest it) again. Being that I didn't work out really at all for about 2 years I had to find and dust off my old running shoes to get started. Now I know they are old, but I figured it would be fine, at least for now. However, I have noticed that my ankles have been really sore lately. I'm not sure if that's because my body just isn't used to running so much, or if it has to do with me needing a new/better pair of shoes.
I know that people need different things when it comes to shoes due to the way their feet are etc. However, I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of some moderately priced tennis shoes with good support. I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks!

Nope. My favorites may make your ankles worse. The best way to find shoes that work for you is at your local running store. The folks there can watch you run and will recommend shoes that are right for your feet. They will offer several brands and you can pick the one you like best. Any other method is just guessing and with price of shoes these days it will cost you if you guess wrong.
