94.2 Pounds Gone. What happened today?

I celebrated not only 94.2 pounds gone! But also celebrated to losing all my baby weight. You know I have been on this journey a long time. Never had cheat meals. Until 3 weeks ago I said okay every Saturday I will reward myself. Well today turned into cheat day! No absolute control over anything. I kept going back to the fridge. Back to the pantry. And here I sit. In disappointment. Feel like a failure. Feel that I will lose all my hard work. But I don't want to! I want this life for me! I want to be healthy! Why do I feel so week right now?! Maybe cheats are not for me, if cheating gets me feeling sad, sad gets me feeling like I need food, eating just makes it worse! What should I do! If anyone could share thoughts or even advice, I really need it right now.

You didn't lose 90+ lbs by doing things wrong. But it's possible that you were so focused that you deprived yourself more than you really had to. And if you had cravings, that might have led to the decision to give yourself a cheat day or cheat days.

You won't make or break a diet with a few days here and there to enjoy the foods you love, even if you eat them in excess for those days. You'll make or break the diet in the other 360 days of the year that you did at least most things right.

Find what works for you and go with it. For some these means never giving yourself a pass. For others it means eating what you want in reasonable and moderate amounts. For me, I often go out and bike hard or another workout that "buys" me extra calories to eat on days I want to indulge a little more. Then I feel guilt free, knowing that what I'm eating is actually needed for exercise recovery.

But don't beat yourself up either way. Slow down, take a deep breath, and figure out what the cheat days impacted you so bad. Then log it and move on with your new plan for how to deal with it. That kind of loss doesn't come without hard work and dedication, so see the up side of things. You've already proven to yourself you can lose weight. Just commit to not having to go through it again and making it a long term change.

I suspect that the eating made you feel weak about things. But just to put it in perspective, even if you ate extra for days and gained 5 lbs, it wouldn't be the end of the world. It would just bring your total weight loss to just under 90 pounds. And if it took eating that 5 pounds back on to get it out of your system, you would be fine if you regrouped and got back on track afterwards.

Don't focus on your mistakes, learn from them, move on and achieve greater success. That applies to a lot of things in life, not just weight loss.

Yup. One binge won't undo all the hard work you've done. This is a lifetime journey. You've worked hard and developed a lot of great habits.
I agree with Robert that you might have been denying yourself the small treats that make it harder not to binge. If you throw in a little extra cardio over the next couple days, it'll be like it never happened. :) Just hop back on the healthy horse and if he throws you off from time time, well, you just gotta climb back on!
