Looking for some extra help

I've been at this since June 1st and I have managed to drop 40 lbs so far. I'm very happy with my weight loss so far , but I seem to be at a plateau. I haven't dropped any weight since Christmas. Any suggestions on how to give my metabolism a little kick to get it going again.

    Idk what kind of diet or meal plan you're following, but with me sometimes I'll do higher calorie intake one day or a couple days, then go low calorie, all while working out... that helps me. The main thing is to shock your body. It's used to what you have been doing. Idk what kind of exercises you are doing... maybe you're doing the elliptical. .. go for a run or ride the bike or even do strength training! You'll get out of it! Change up something and you should be good. Oh and on another note, I've done cleanses and broke the plateau before too. Currently am on one right now lol. You'll get a lot of good advice on here, don't get discouraged! 40 lbs is a lot of weight and boy is it hard work! Keep up the good work and keep your head up! Woot woot! *hugs*

    First off, damn fine job so far! 40 pounds is quite a bit and it doesn't happen without work and discipline. Pretty much everyone's weight loss stalls around the holidays. You may just need to be patient. If it doesn't start again consider dropping your calorie goals again. Your calorie burn will go down a bit as you lose weight so it's normal.
