I'm starting to get pretty serious about this losing weight thing, but I want a way to better understand how many calories my body is burning through exercise and just living. I have a Fitbit, but admittedly don't understand how it gauges calories burned...I mainly use it as a pedometer and sleep tracker. I was looking into getting a BodyMedia FitBand, but now I'm not sure. Would a regular heart rate monitor work? And if so, which one is best? Thank you!
