I just wondered how often everyone weighs and how successful you find it. I am not one to weigh every day because I know how it fluctuates. I have been weighing once a week for awhile now and it has worked fine. BUT, now that I am down 75 lbs (from 270-195) I know my losses will start to slow and my body might screw with my head more often so I am thinking of weighing every 2 weeks from now on. Also, my TOM started today and tomorrow is my normal weigh in day and I know it is going to be messed up, so maybe waiting until next Thursday would be better.
Anyway, what do all of you do???
Thanks!
Tami

I weigh myself once a week.. same day, same time ... but when Aunt Flo is visiting I wait until she's not around. She likes to sneak in and put her foot on the scale when I'm not looking :laugh:0

You've already come so far, and made such progress. You KNOW what you're doing works. I don't think there's anything wrong with waiting 2 weeks for a weigh-in.0

I like to weigh every time a go to the gym (3-4 times/week). I know that my weight is going to fluctuate, but I like to see what makes it fluctuate; whether it's the time of day or if I eaten within a certain amount of time. Even though I weigh at the gym multiple times in a week, I only count what I weigh every 2 weeks. I think you're doing great! Whatever you feel is best is what you KNOW works for your body. Good Luck:flowerforyou:0

I weigh once a week - Friday a.m. - first thing in the morning, before drinking or eating anything, etc. You know
Sometimes I sneak a spot check on a Mon am to see what the weekend did to me, or on Wed to see if I'm on track- try really hard not to, but sometimes I just can't resist!! I do weigh when Aunt Flo visits, but I don't put much stock in it, and if I maintain I know that I actually lost weight and will get the real results next week, if I stay on track!! Daily battle for me  Gives me something to look forward to!

I weigh myself when I feel like it at the gym. *shrug* I can't do the once every week or biweekly bit because I go crazy with curiosity.
If my body feels off (heavier, lighter) I'll go weigh myself and see where I'm at.
I measure myself when I notice a significant change.0 -
I've been on the "healthy meal plan" (it's not a diet, winks) for almost two years. Started off counting every calorie that passed my lips, logging exercise, etc. However, over time and with a routine, I found I didn't need to log so much anymore, however I do tend to weigh myself twice a day - once in the morning, and once after work (before I eat dinner). This helps me to stay on track on a day-to-day basis (instead of going off for a week before seeing the numbers on the scale). This "daily" monitoring" also helped me identify foods that do not help my weight loss efforts (fat free microwave popcorn is banished from my diet! Probably the sodium that causes water retention, sigh.) I know many people say that you should not weigh yourself everyday, but this is what works for me and takes less time than logging all my food/exercise now that I'm close to maintenance. I have about 5 lbs left to lose, and realize that this will take time so am not discouraged when the scale "hoovers" +/- 3 pounds around my current set point weight.0

hello all
I'm with MollyK, i weight with every morning after usual business and it helps me stay on track and i have learn how to read that and make changes in my eating habits. i have experience with calories levels ect. and i know what works for me, i also know not to panic when the scale goes up 1 day or stays the same for a long time. that and my scale gives me fat and water %,, so if i see the water % high and a gained 1 pound,,,
overall .. my weight goes down or stays to same most of the time,, so im quite happy with the way things are going
