Once I entered all my cardio into the myfitness pal app my calorie goal went from 1200 to 1700. This seems like a large jump when I am trying to lose weight. What if I didnt add the cardio to the calorie counter?

Your MFP calorie goal is based on not doing any exercise, so when you enter your exercise you get more calories to eat. The issue many people see is that the database over-estimates calorie burn. To account for this, many people only eat 25-75% of the calories back.0

Thank you for that. This is really good to know. I appreciate you explaining it to me in a kind way.0

You can change the amount of calories manually in the Calories box.
(Now that I have a FitBit, I have a Start time section which wasn't there before.)0 -

OK, this is the tip of the day! Thank you! I am going to manually adjust all the time! Sweet!

Your true cardio burn is only half what you (or your machine) thinks. Don't record more than that.0
