Tips for loose skin?

I'm sure this topic is all over the message boards, but I just wanted to start my own. Does anyone have any tips for preventing loose skin?

I know the basic rules (incorporate resistance training, eat protein, lose slowly) but just curious if anyone has any personal experiences to share. I've been up and down on the scale for years so I'm sure I don't have a hope of not having excess skin when I finally reach my goal, but I'll do whatever I can to try and prevent it.

    And give yourself ~2 years after you reach goal weight to see what happens with your skin.

    And if the pinch of "skin," is bigger than you punching the skin from the back of your hand, you have more fat to lose.
