    Blackened is my favorite, but also like just a good ole grilled catfish every so often, with a squeeze of lemon. YUM!

    I'll eat them out of flowing rivers/large lakes, but they are nasty out of ponds. We stomach the few we've eaten out of our pond, but they are nowhere near the quality of meat we get out of bluegill/small bass.

    Catfish on a diet of mainly shad are just as good as any other freshwater fish, but you don't get that all the time.

    Also, flathead/yellow cats are the best as their diet is almost all fish vs. a channel catfish's diet of whatever.

    @KD454 well I for one, know that there are several catfishes swimming around. You can recognize them by their shirtless, headless, torso pics.

    Normally I like a good white fish like cod. Salmon is great too. Catfish is not one of my favorites, but I will eat it fried.
