I'm a male, 6 feet, 195 lbs. I've lost 42 lbs since August. if one day I fee like going over lr accident go over caloric cou t what I will do is drink more water than I usually do. I drink on average 16-18 cups of water a day, and if I go over a caloric cou t I will go drink another 6-8 cups extra and I end up staying at same weight or even better yet, lose a pound .

Another good trick is to keep your calorie intake in check, that's the magical part.

18 cups of water a day, plus another 8 if you're hungry!? Good lord not a chance............0

must have to pee a lot0

1.5 Gallons of water if you're hungry?
I generally drink a bottle of water before I eat and throughout the day, but what you're saying seems a little excessive lol. I usually drink half my weight in OZ, e.g. 200lb person drinks 100 oz of water.

Your title mislead me... I was disappointed to see that you are drinking more water. If it were beer, I'd be in like a dirty shirt
I will drink a bit more water on days when I have had a high sodium meal (extra glass or two, sometimes). Otherwise, the extra water isn't really going to flush out the extra calories. Too much water can contribute to depletion of electrolytes. So there is that to keep in mind. 6.5L (max amount suggested by your OP) could be enough to do that.0 -

Saaaame! Haha.
Yeah my partner hangs on to a lot more water weight after a sodium heavy meal than I do because I drink more water, and my skin is better, but over all I don't think it effects my weight loss. I usually get about 4/5 UK pints.0 -

Deal! Shot then a beer. We can take turns buying the rounds. Is @queenliz99 in? Or is she just going to stick with her beer.

I thought the tip was going to be if you drank more you wouldn't care that you didn't lose weight that week...
Maybe OP is making so many trips to the restroom they are burning extra calories.0 -

I didn't account for the extra calorie burn when I said that it wouldn't flush away the extra calories. Fair enough. There is also the increased heart rate that comes from the anxiety of wondering if you're going to make it there on time!0 -
So I'm in, but I get weird when I drink whiskey @auddii and @nutmegoreo0
