Do I half the calories on the machine or mfp?

im on a 1200 calorie and I exercise regularly for the mood boost and cardiovascular benefits. I would like to eat as many exercise calories as I can since I'm on a low calorie diet.
Mfp usually gives me much higher numbers of calories burned compared to the machine.
Today I did 45 minutes on elliptical on 10incline and 8 resistance. The machine told me about 300 calories burned but mfp told me about 500. Which one do I half to eat back?

The MFP entry does not account for resistance or tension. It is a very vague entry, I would not go with the number.
But in the end, whatever you choose to do, keep it consistent for a few weeks and evaluate from there.
