Thyroidectomy, 280 lbs, 29 years old, so ready to get healthy

Hi all. I had my thyroid taken out 8 years ago and got married 7 years ago. Ever since I've been steadily putting on weight, and getting more and more out of shape. And it sucks. I've tried several attempts to lose weight in the past, but they were halfhearted and I would get frustrated when I didn't see progress quickly enough. I don't really have a goal weight in mind, I just want to get healthy.

You can do it! Have you consulted with your doctor on what kind of a diet you should be eating? I imagine that not having a thyroid has played a major role in your weight gain. I like that you don't have a goal weight in mind and that you're focused on just getting healthy. Good luck with your journey, add me as a friend if you want.0

Partial thyrodectomy here, 2005. As long as your medication is stable, you can do it!0
