It just happened

It has been three weeks bring very faithful, measuring, logging and counting all my calories and I noticed both yesterday and today I am full even before I eat my entire meal I have portioned out. With about 60 pounds to lose I didn't think this was really possible. I was used to eating continually so I never felt full. I just wrapped up half my sandwich from lunch and may eat it later but maybe not. I new concept for me but I am excited to learn it!

Good for you! Eating until the point of maximum fullness was something I had to un-learn as well.

That's great. I started out thinking there was no way I could stay in my calorie goal cause I felt like I was starving despite my goal not being very restrictive. After a month I'm finding it much easier to stay within my daily limit and sometimes even under.

That is the point where you know you are really going to make it. You have established the connection between your stomach and brain. Congratulations it is a very big deal!

Completely agree - it is a huge deal. I had that experience a few months ago. Sometimes my head still tells me to munch but I now KNOW it is not because I am hungry OR because I need to eat more. It is all in my head. Crazy.

Congratulations! "Full" is a somewhat stretchy term... but that is something we have to learn... maybe as adults. What a strange sensation when "dinner" is not regularly followed by "I have to lie down" anymore :#
