If you have Blue Cross/Blue Shield insurance you may want to check out a benefit that may be offered with your plan. For a $25 enrollment fee and $25 a month (3 month commitment) you can access over 9000 gyms in the US.

I had a BCBS HMO policy through my employer and didn't know this was available. In my smaller city it gives access to 3 Gold's an LA Fitness, a locally owned club and the YMCA.

Yep, it's a good benefit, especially if you travel for work like I do (sometimes, depends on the year).
I'm just waiting until our contract is up at our commercial gym (which is a member of this) and then re-sign up under this plan.
