Is there an app or way to calculate how many calories burned during a workout?

How do you figure out how many calories you burn while working out without any gym equipment or anything? TIA

    The best way would be to get a heart rate monitor. Many of these will give you fairly reasonable estimates of your calorie burn.

    Heart rate monitors can only come close to accurate for certain steady state cardio activities. Beyond that there are METS based upon averaged burns from people exercising under lab conditions.
