BMR?

Is it better to stick by your my fitness pal calories that are set for you or stick by your BMR calories which are also calculated for you ??

    I think you can do either. My MFP goal is just a little lower than my BMR. You should still be losing if you eat at BMR, just might not be as fast as if you go by the MFP goals.

    BMR, while an interesting bit of trivia, is really immaterial insofar as weight loss.

    BMR is a useful starting point for calculating daily energy needs and for then for calculating what your intake should be to lose/gain weight.

    If you want to lose/gain weight, then stick to what MFP says you should eat until you have real world results that say you should make minor adjustments.

    MFP goal is also lower by 150 calories but don't seem to be losing anything I wondered if the BMR goal may make a difference

    Are you saying your MFP goal is 150 calories lower than your BMR, and you want try to eat your BMR, which is more calories? No. Eating more calories will not help you lose weight. Try going through this chart if you aren't seeing results:
