That's because it's only been two days.

Weight loss is measured over the course of weeks and months. Not days.

were you drinking alcohol too? Alcohol puts a huge dent on your metabolism. So if you had a bad weekend with processed food, high in sodium and add some liquor to that you need a few days more than just two to get back on track. Drink extra water, normal portions and tracking and give yourself till next week to see. Good luck.

Did you go over your allotted calories by 7000? That's basically what it would take to gain two pounds of fat. No? Then it's mostly water weight and you should get back on track while you wait it out.

It's Tuesday, don't start panicking yet.

    Could be water weight.

Could also be hormonal. I tend to gain about 3 lbs of water weight during my cycle.

Weight loss isn't linear. Weigh yourself once a week at the same time and same circumstances (like when you get up in the mornings after hitting the WC) and chart that. There will be ups and downs depending on what you ate, what you did, etc. Look for a TREND. Give it a couple of months of entering your weight every week, then look at the graph. If you can draw a line from start to finish and it's going down, you're just fine.

    Example:

Chances are the 2 pounds is simply water weight and will come off quickly.

I doubt you ate enough to have gained 2 pounds within 2 days. That's a LOT of food.
