What types of things stall your scale? even when you're being "good"

For me it's:
-salt
-bathroom habits (oy)
-water intake

How about for you all? What things affect whether or not you see your scale move vs. just fluctuate

The same things as you, plus bloating from beans. I've been eating so many beans lately because they're so tasty and easy on both my college student budget and my calorie budget, but they make me so gassy and bloat-y. I'm going to give longer soaking times a try, but for now, I prepare for the inevitable bloating.

If I look at my weight day-to-day, or even week-to-week, it looks like I have stalls and even gains all over the place. If I look at the one-screen graph of my weekly weights from the time I started weight loss, I can see that I actually have a steady decline.

It's all about the big picture.

If I work a night shift, it doesn't matter how much I moved, how on-point my eating was, I will see usually a gain, sometimes a stall.

It's water retention and stress from work and sleep schedule changes. I see appropriate weight loss later once I'm no longer living nocturnal.)

This is actually really helpful! I've been stalled out but I just got off a week of nights (I rotate)
