TGI Friday's

My husband wants to go today to start his vacation. Before mfp, we would just go, order what we wanted, not thinking about calories or anything, and go home. Now that I have been keeping track of food, I thought it a good idea to check out the nutritional value of food so I can make better choices. OMG! I knew it wasn't good but geez! Not just the calories but, the sodium! Off the charts! My husband said I could always get a salad. Really? They are not much better. I think I have settled for the 6 oz sirloin. At 380 calories, the sodium is not as high either. Mashed potatoes are a good choice as is broccoli. No vanilla bean cheesecake. I can make my own for a lot less calories.
I do love Friday's but, education is key to success!

Yes, Fridays isn't known for their health food but you can find a few good options there. Their salmon with broccoli is another good option.0

Why make yourself miserable for the sake of one day? Just have what you want and peg it as a cheat day. As you said, even the salads aren't great choices so one splurge isnt't going to be the end of the world.
I've only been once (every single time I've gone to go, the waiting time has been ridiculous...) but their veggie quesadillas are amazing.0
