Too much protein hinder weight loss?

Can I be eating too much protein? My fitness pal is saying that I'm going over my protein allowance on a daily basis. I'm under on carbs, fats, sugars and calories every day. It's estimating that I'll only lose 1 lb. over the next 5 weeks. Is something wrong? I'm eating healthy, walking 2 miles 5 times a week and it's saying I'll only lose 1 lb. over the next five weeks. I'm a female and I need to lose 40 lbs. Please help!

Its just an estimate based on your body info...calories burned..and calories in0

If its saying that you'll lose a pound over the next five weeks, that is based only on the amount of calories eaten and the estimate of how many you burned based on your height, weight, age, and activity. It doesn't matter if the calories came from protein or something else. Keep in mind that its just a little piece of math that you can have it calculate every day, and the calculation is based ONLY on that day's intake and burn. That's why it says "If every day was like today." So if you were to eat the same number of calories and do the same amount of exercise every day for five weeks, you should lose 1 pound.0

The MFP recommendation for protein is notoriously low. It's fine (and probably good) to eat more protein.
There is nothing about it that will cause you to not lose weight as long as you maintain a deficit.0
