Hi, this is my third time using My Fitness Pal and its great. I have been on a healthy diet for about 18 days now. I want to lose just over half a stone, I lost five pounds in the first 2 weeks which i was happy about however my weight loss seems to have slowed down and i haven't lost anything over the past few days, despite sticking to my healthy diet, is this normal? Also im struggling to keep my willpower up, im craving chocolate and biscuits, (i have a sweet tooth). Any suggestions to curb these cravings would be appreciated thanks :-)

Sharon, share (open) your diary. it will allow others to see how you log, exercise, etc. Are you religiously logging everything? (With a scale)

Hi, yes im logging everything I eat and when I exercise. Im sticking to 1300 calories a day.

I believe what he was getting at is how are you logging. Are you weighing all solids in grams? Are you measuring all liquids with appropriate liquid measures? If you are going by package serving sizes alone or using measuring cups for solids, you are most likely drastically underestimating what you eat.

ALso taking into account that fat loss is not linear and will slow down as you continue to lose, you might need to take a closer look at your measuring and logging to tighten up for any potential changes that need to be made.

Then that is the problem. One day you might be eating 200 calories of a piece of chicken breast but the next day it might be 289 but you are logging both as 200. You can't guesstimate accurately. That is why you should weigh and measure all foods and drinks. It's the only way to know exactly what you're putting in your body. Eating "about 13 chips" is not the same as eating 38 grams of chips because those 13 chips will not weigh the same amount each time.0 -

Did you watch the videos as well?0 -
Yes I watched the video as well. Can see now why it's important to weigh and measure everything. Hopeful I'll get back on track now. Thanks for the replies :-)0
