Stress eating

I totally just caught myself stress eating. I had a frustrating interaction with a colleague, came back to my office, opened my drawer and pulled out some old chocolate from Christmas... minty white chocolate that I don't even like. I took one bite and stopped, realized what I was doing and tossed the rest in the trash. *Ugh*

I caught myself the other day eating out of boardom. I was board with the tv, board with folding laundry and couldn't think of something to do before bedtime.
It was an apple pastry that my daughter made. I had decided the day before not to eat one because it was WAY to high in calories and sugar to fit into my goals.
I walked past it on the counter and just decided to break it in half and stuff it in.
When I realized what I was doing I spit it into the trash and threw the rest away. Today I threw away 3 more that no one ate.
I think it's a really good thing when you can catch yourself in the act. It's a total victory that you were able to stop yourself, think it through and change direction.
Good for you! And me!0 -
Way to recognize what was going on, and stopping! That is actually really difficult! You ROCK!0

I hate boredom and stress eating...they are my worst enemy!! Thank god I have kids so on the weekend I'm always running around & not really staying still too long. But, the weekends are my hardest challenges for the week.....
Great job in saying "NO"!!!!!!0 -
Only serious stress would cause you to throw out an entire bag of mint chocolates.0
