Under calorie intake

So I've just completed my diary for the day but it tells me it won't record my day as I am so far under my calorie intake.

I'm actually about 300 down on actual calories but added a gentle swim and short walk to the exercise section and of course the figure goes up. So my question is should I not include my exercise?

The way MFP is set up, you should be hitting your net calorie goal after exercise. Of course, due to overestimation of calories burned, it's best to only eat half of those back.

One day under isn't a big deal, but try to aim for 1200 calories (which I would assume is your goal, as you only get the message if you eat below 1000) every day.

Even if you include exercise it doesn't matter. If your daily calorie goal is 1200 and you eat under that even if you log exercise then it will not record.

Enter your own calories into the exercise field and put in half the number it gives you for your burn. Then you are only eating half back but also aware when you really are going too far under. If it's occasional, no big deal, but if it happens a lot make sure to eat more that day or the next (imho).
