1 leg longer than the other, can I run??

I have lost ten and a half stone and am now ready to try running well jogging first! I have only recently found I have 1 leg almost an inch longer than the other which explains my clumsyness as a child an adult. I was diagnosed with dyspraxia but now this could explain a lot! My baalance is a lot better since I have lost the weight but is still an issue in new situations or ice and snow.

Anyway I want to try running but don't want to damage myself. I am not sure about using insoles or lifts in my shoes as I have managed 37 years without them and think it may just make my balance even worse.

Any ideas or anyone else have this??
