Questions about workout

Hi, I'd like to know if a routine of 30 min of cardio and 1 hour of weights and machines is a good workout for loosing weight. Right now i weight 224, I'm 19 years old and im 6ft tall (188cm), and my objective is to lose until 193 lb approximately but also gaining some muscle mass and getting some definition. And about the weights part, if 4 series of 10 reps of each exercise going for the "muscle failure" in the last series of some of the exercises is good also. I try to do this routine 5 times a week and going for a run the other two days.
Thank your for reading and I'd love some feedback!

Losing weight requires a calorie deficit, which means consuming fewer calories than you burn. You can do that by eating less, moving more, or a combination of the two. All physical activity burns calories. That means that the best exercise is, simply put, the one you will stick with. Some people prefer weights, some prefer cardio, some prefer a combo. All options are beneficial.
You will likely build some muscle while in your deficit, but not as much as you would while eating at maintenance or above. Beginner lifters and returning lifters generally build more than others. Remember that rest days are important for your muscles. You can lift 5 days a week but I would suggest not working the same body parts every single day. Split up your week so that you hit them every other day or every third day. Here is a list of balance lifting programs so that you can see what I mean:
