Antidepressants and weight loss

Being on an antidepressant (anxiety) has had a nice effect on my self control. I have noticed that I am more mindful of my calorie intake and way less likely to binge while taking my medication properly. I used to eat a lot all of the time. Often until I was uncomfortable. I do notice that if I forget to take it one day it very quickly reduces that effect. I forgot my pill the day before last and yesterday aside from being anxious, I binged like crazy at dinner. I made chicken noodle casserole and I ate until my stomach hurt. Has anyone else noticed this effect from their antidepressant?

Wellbutrin (and its generic forms) has a potential side effect of appetite suppression.
But some tend to cause weight gain and yet others are considered "weight neutral".0
