Heart palpitations??

So 2 weeks ago I quit smoking, swore off alcohol, been eating healthy and exercising for 25 minutes 5 days a week. So why now am I getting heart palpitations? I thought I was getting healthy? I've gotten them in the past from stress/anxiety. They went away eventually.

But does anyone else have experience with this??

I am 37, 5'3 140lbs. (And I was never a hardcore smoker, on and off socially for years.)

Anyone who gives you any advice other than this should be firmly ignored. Go see a doctor.

Go see a doctor. I got them and a raised pulse, too, that wouldn't go away. I just need a beta blocker. Just one of those things and all is great now, but I do need the meds. I also had to get on iron, go through testing to make sure I wasn't bleeding internally (because of the low hemoglobin), check all thyroid levels, wear a heart monitor for a week, etc. There are any number of things that can cause them, some harmless, some needing treatment. But they'll want to check several things, yeah.

You need to see a doctor. I get heart palpitations, too and have had two stress tests to make sure there wasn't anything majorly wrong. You need to be checked out before you do anything else.

How's your iron and hemoglobin? When mine are really love I experience in tachycardia. It could also be anxiety or a variety of things

First, see a doctor. Don't mess with the ticker.

Then, try to keep in mind that it will take more than 2 weeks to become "healthy". You can not undo years of abuse with a couple weeks of healthy living. Give it time. When you no longer have to consciously decide to 'live healthy' and it becomes a habit, you will be truly be healthy.

Have you called your doctor yet? :)
