Is this jacket/coat good for ice fishing..?

My dad is old (late 70's) and likes to ice fish. I think it is crazy for a man his age to do it, but he is stubborn and does what he wants.

Anyway, I was thinking about getting this jacket for him. Didn't get him much for Christmas so it could be a late Christmas gift. But I always thought those bright orange jackets are good for ice fishing..? I am not up on this stuff, so please share any thoughts or opinions or advice.....thanks so much!!!

    Arctic Armor Floating Extreme Weather Jacket Red also has the pants I used this when it was -25 out and it floats in case he ever goes thru the ice he won't die
