Hi guys, I've been seriously struggling with motivation for a LONG time now!!!

I'm going on two holidays this year and want to look good for them, but this doesn't seem to be enough to keep me on track!

My partner can eat anything and everything and gains no weight, and doesn't really enjoy the healthy options I make. He loves his sweets and chocolate!

After working all day I feel too drained to even exercise, and too lazy to do it in the morning!!

Help?!?!

Guys naturally need more calories, so we eat more. My motivation is in seeing regular progress, which is what keeps me going. How much do you have to lose?

I have the hardest time staying committed to my health. I tend to put everything before me, but I'm also really hard on myself for not reaching the goals I have for myself. It makes no sense as I write this, but it is seriously what goes on in my head. I know I'm not waking up at 5am to workout, and when I get home from work I want to wear sweats and cuddle my dog. I have 5-7lbs to lose; I am OK with my appearance in spite of my weight gain but I definitely feel more sluggish than I used to. I guess I have to make my first and exercise a priority if I ever want to get anywhere. If it is truly important to me, I'll have the motivation I need.

Motivation isn't nearly as important as commitment. Your motivation will probably come and go but if you stay focused and commited you'll still do what you need to do during the times of little or no motivation.

you can't compare anything to a male counterpart...we have significantly larger calorie requirements than the average female.

as motivation goes, it's just an emotion and pretty much worthless. we all do things daily for which we aren't necessarily motivated...but they need doing, so we do them. find exercise that you enjoy doing and go do it and stop making excuses and being lazy...or not.
