A good scale for telling body fat percentage?

Anyone out there using a scale that they feel is pretty accurate when it comes to telling you your body fat percentage? I'm in the market for a good one. Thanks!

Bioimpedence is not a very accurate method of measuring body fat in a single instance, no matter how expensive the scale. It's okay for tracking trends over long periods, but in terms of finding out your actual body fat, you pretty much have to invest in a more reliable method periodically. Drinking a glass of water, voiding your bladder, or developing new calluses on your feet are all ways to confuse a bioimpedence scale by large margins.

There have only been a few people who have tracked their BF changes using several methods on MFP. For some reason, when I saw their charts, the Bio-scale, measuring, pictures, calipers, military measuring, and bod pods were all very close to each other. So, a few photos, a tape measure and scale would be an option.

Yeah, I've bought two of these things over the years and regret the purchase; my latest is just used as an expensive scale now.

I think measuring tape and either the YMCA or US Navy methods are the best for at-home, free use.
    Here are calculators for them:

Consumer reports reviewed high tech scales in this months issue. The verdict was that none of them were good and most were off by 25-35% for measuring body fat.

When I had to replace my bathroom scale I found it difficult to find a scale without bio impedence

    They're ubiquitous

Despite the ridiculousness of the concept

Most are excellent. Even though not real accurate, they ARE very consistent, so you can always tell if fat is going up or down. Everyone should use one!
