Hello
I'm new to this site. I am a busy mother of four trying to figure out how to win this battle with my weight. I work full time, go to school full time and try to balance my life as best I can. I am looking for a mentor to help guide me in the right direction. I really have no idea what foods I am supposed to be eating or what exercises would be best for me. So if there's anybody out there that would be willing to work with me, please reach out to me. I am desperate!

It can certainly be overwhelming when you first start. I would suggest to just start with logging whatever you are currently eating. Don't begin with large sweeping changes. Log what you are doing, and the see what you've got. Then introduce some small changes.

Read a lot. There is some great information out there that can make this all much easier for you. Start here:

Be patient, be consistent, and be persistent. It gets easier.

Any kind of moving to start..i chose walking on my lunch break for atleast 30 minutes. I realized I could spend half my lunch eating and the other half moving! This also allows me to get in a small workout even if i don't have time after school. Once you get a routine you will find a way. Even 10 minutes at a time....

Little steps, perhaps you can get some some veggies you like, cut them and place them in snack bags and bring with you to have during breaks at work and school. Take 10 minute walks several times a day. Plan your meals. Every little positive change can help. It is a battle but one you can win.
