I know, I know...go see a DR. I get that, but I am looking for anyone who has suffered from Brachialis Tendonitis and what you did to gain some relief or what you did to improve/help the injury. My husband is experiencing (what he believes is) this pain. He will be going to the DR but right now he is just bummed out about not being able to do any pulling exercices, only pushing (bench press doesn't hurt at all)... I was hoping to give him some support and other people's experiences.

Any advice would be great! Thanks :)

Isn't the brachialis just one of the arm muscles? Does he think he has a muscle strain or something?

Oops, it was supposed to be Brachialis Tendonitis... (I edited it now)

I can only speak for myself. I had some elbow pain at one point from doing weighted pull-ups. I thought it was tendonitis, but when I had the doctor check it out, it turned out to be irritation of the ulnar nerve. If untreated, it could have lead to serious loss of hand strength, so it's worth having a doctor look at it.

I avoided pull-ups for a couple weeks, took some NSAID, ice, all the usual thing. It eventually cleared up. And now I don't push my pull-ups like I used to, which is fine for me because I always hated pull-ups anyway ;-)

Thanks Rick. DR was called this morning and he will be in there to get it checked. I'm hoping they can find the cause :)
