Modifying help

I got a tattoo on my hip/butt/thigh and if I want to do No More Trouble Zones ill have to modify some moves during the healing. Id like to *try* and work the same muscles. The last circuit which has sideplank lifts and leg lifts are what Id need to modify. Any suggestions? Or should I just replace it with whatever keeps my HR up and call it good? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
