Benefits of using the MFP community

Someone asked me about the benefits of the community, and I got long winded in my answer, but I thought it was worth sharing. The community helps, but it's only a piece of the puzzle. Here is my answer, and please give your own feedback to this guys.

"Well it helps hold you accountable. It's also great encouragement to hear from others, and I think it helps me even more when I encourage others. One thing I do, and I would recommend this to anyone, is to get up every morning and write out your weight-loss goals, your plan for achieving those goals for the day, and how you're going to handle temptations when they arise. Remember to always write positive. Instead of "I'm not going to eat junk food", write I'm only going to eat healthy. Better yet, plan your meals so you already know what you're going to eat. That's the best way to avoid temptation."

    The community here has been a game changer for me. Staying connected with other people going through what I am helps support, motivate and keep me accountable. Seeing everyone's hard work everyday helps keep me doing my best to stay on track. I also think we all should set goals each day and even if we can't achieve a goal that day, we can still stay moving toward them.
