Question about how calorie is absorbed in reality.
If I consume 2,000 cal as shown on the label, is it fair to assume that entire 2,000 cal will be absorbed in my guts or is there a percentage that actually does not get fully absorbed? In a way.. if you look at rabbits, their guts are terrible with absorbing macro nutrients. But how does it work for humans?

You do not absorb it all. However, don't get caught up in the minutiae of calorie absorption. Food labels can be off 20% either way and protein labels are often off quite a bit. Assume the variances/absorption evens out in the end.0

Actually, it is a little more confusing than simply, you absorb them all. There are confounding factors, however, I would say you are better off saying your absorb them all rather than hoping your one of those who doesn't.0
