100g of vegetables?

Hi everyone! I'm just asking a few questions on weighing food. I had a bunch of vegetables for dinner the other night and I weighed out 100g of zucchini, yellow squash, tomatoes, onions, and some bell peppers and realized that was ALOT of veggies! I saw that they were all under 50 calories and I still don't believe that they were all under that, so I'm just asking is this true? I'm new to weighing since I used to use measuring cups! Thank you!

Root veggies are more calories. I love carrots but they are twice the calories of broccoli, courgettes and green beans

It's true
but I have to say I'm a bit stunned by you believing 100g of vegetables was a lot
a single tomato weighs around 60g IME
when I make vegetable stew which has many of the ingredients in your list but cooked, a portion is 500g and that's with rice an cheese on top (100g rice, 10g cheese, 500g veg stew = 305 calories)0 -
150g savoy cabbage is about 30 calories or so .. and takes up half my huge dinner plate0

Yep, it's true. Just had 106g tomatoes with my breakfast and it was 29 calories.0

Got my scale yesterday and I've been pretty amazed since I started weighing0

I love setting up a big bowl for spinach and weighing out 100g.
Lots of foods pleasantly surprised me when I started weighing, ice cream and veggies being the big ones.0 -
Yep, they are super low cal.
100 grams really isn't that much (except maybe for something like spinach or arugula). I put more than that in a two egg omelet frequently and the eggs can cover the vegetables without problem.0
