Stomach bigger after weekend drinks - wine and beer.

Hi,
I have a healthy diet, eat 2300 calories a day to lose some fat (I have calculated it correctly, I am 28yo, 6ft tall, I go to the gym 4 times a week each time doing 1 hour weight lifting and 30 mins cardio). It is working as my weight has gone down from 79.5 down to 77.1 and my body fat has decreased from 14.4 down to 12.8 - thats in 3 weeks.
My issue is I struggle a bit and I am confused about the weekends. I dont go to the gym and the weekends, I do try to keep a healthy diet - no sugar probably a little bit more fats than during a week. And I do have wine occasionally beer on Saturday evening. When I say have wine I dont mean a glass but probably a bottle. After last weekend and a bottle of wine I noticed my stomach has gone bigger - the next day I woke up. Also today it is Monday and I still feel full of - i dont know what - water?
Can someone please advice why is this happening? And any way of avoiding it? Obviously not drinking wine would be one option cause I do know its about 80 calories in each glass of white - but I do like to socialise and I do like my drink.
Any comments will be appreciated.
Thanks
Martin

Sounds like you're bloated. Drink more water after the bottle of wine!0

Water retention. Drink lots of water, it will pass.0

sounds like its just bloat/water retention. - could be from the alcohol or just the more relaxed diet. likely a combination.
nothing you can do about it. LOL i mean, you could stop drinking, but that would be horrible. LOLOL

600 +/- cals in a bottle of wine. Believe me, it breaks my heart to have to log that!0

My husband is the same. Its water retention from the alcohol sugars /carbs. It takes him about 3 days to shift it.
Funny though but it dehydrates me and i always weigh less after drinking.0 -
I would be the same after i drink beer or cider. Bloated for about 3-4 days and about 6lbs of water retention0

Beer bloats me, but wine and spirits not so much. Still drink beer because it is worth it.0

Drink water after your wine and try not to go to sleep for at least two hours after you finish the bottle.0
