Hello. I am a 35 year old father of 2, looking for some accountability with my nutrition. I love working out, 6 days a week is easy for me to do because it is fun. My downfall is nutrition. I've used this site in the past and it was helpful, so hopefully it is again. As you can see in my pics, I'm not in terrible shape and I don't want to lose too many pounds. But I do need to eat consistently better, and that's why I'm hoping to add a few friends on here to help with that. I love helping others out too, I understand what good nutrition is and what solid workout programs are. My issue is staying on track. Anyway, hopefully a few of you are interested in teaming up.

That's my issue too. Portion control and awareness of how much I eat. Friend me if you want. Good luck!0

How do you get to work out 6 days a week with 2 kids. I am also 35 and have 2 small kids 3 and 5. They HATE going to the gym with me. The gym offers child care and by the time my wife gets home I am too beat down to go.0

I am incredibly lucky because there is a gym in my office building, so I workout for 60 to 90 minutes for my lunch break. And I have a setup in my garage at home so I can get a workout in one of the two days on the weekends, with the other day because a rest/stretch day. My kids are 13 and almost 2. The 13 year old is obviously easy to plan around, but the 2 year old loves the day care at the gym if I head up there too.
Are you too beat down from sitting at a desk all day (my problem here if I didn't have the gym) or just physically worn out from work? If you're sitting at a desk all day, try to go walk some stairs a few times during the day. I did that in our old building (that didn't have the gym) and it kept me awake enough that I could go to the gym after work.0 -
I am an Executive Chef for a school district so there is a lot of desk sitting and bulk cooking for around 1500 kids. I get home get the kids and keep them alive til the wife gets home then cook everyone dinner and then it is 6:30 and I am worn out. I just need kids who want to play in the childcare room so I can work out. I also need to find a source of after work energy.0

I'm 28 mother of 3! During my pregnancies I wasn't able to focus as much on my works outs, so I had to maintain a healthy weight through nutrition! I've studied a ton! And even borrowed my girlfriends textbooks from her nutrition courses in college! It really excited me to learn about the power of my food choices! Friend me if you'd like! We can share meal/snack ideas & stuff! Good luck with your goals! God bless!0

I sent you a friend request on here. Maybe we can kick some ideas around that would work? Don't worry, I'm not selling anything. Haha.

Those abs sure don't look like they belong on someone with poor nutrition0

Haha. There is always room for improvement. My biggest issue is consistency. I managed to get through the holidays eating pretty well and have done good so far this month. But making it an all day/every day thing is my biggest issue.0 -
32 year old, not quite dad (couple more years). Also a former hockey player. Trying to cut weight from an unhealthy diet, now eating very consistent and health. Feel free to add me, but I warn you I'm an Aggie and Colorado fan (although the Buffs aren't much of a threat these days).0

same here during the summer months I stay pretty active. I post this monster workouts to FB and here too and if it wasn't for all the junk I eat I could really be in great shape. I always make fun of being muscular but with layers of fat. It feels that all the bike rides, soccer games, weight training etc is going to waste.
We didn't come this far just to get this far...let's get in the best shape of our life

Haha. No worries man, I'm a Sooner living in Texas. I've got tons of Aggie friends and get along well with them...even after that damn Cotton Bowl. Hahaha.0 -
Anyone else interested? The more keeping me accountable, the better. Haha.0

You can add me if you'd like. I'm supposed to be working on incorporating 2 servings of fruits and 2 servings of veggies per day over the next couple weeks...I'm lucky if i can get one serving of each in per day.0
