Can I trust Garmin adjustments?

I just linked up my vivofit 2 today. I was just wandering around town on my day off and apparently covered 4 miles or so and was awarded like 190 extra calories. Now my settings are 1lb/sedentary and last week I apparently lost 2.8 according to my weekly weigh in. I'm going to start weighing everyday to make sure that wasn't a fluke. Should I try eating these and see what happens? I am set at sedentary though and one day when I only worked 5 hours I managed like 15k steps. But problem with letting negative adjustments take place is my shifts usually finish at midnight

I use the VivoFit to help me meet my steps goal, but I find their calorie counts way off base compared to almost anything else, and I don't import them to MFP. I use Map My Walk to calorie count if I go on a run or brisk fitness walk, and I let that flow into MFP. I have been eating back those exercise calories and still losing weight.0

So 225 calories for walking 5 miles for a 5" 10 close to 200 pound man seems like a bit too much? Seems kinda low to be honest. But I'm in no danger of going over today even without the extra calories. I used mapmywalk before good app but I need to remember to use it before hand and it makes my music stutter a bit. Just kinda linked it because I could. Most of my steps are post dinner at work.I work at a grocery store and I leave my debit card at home so I don't go wasting money on junk so the extra calories don't really help anyway. Was just curious how accurate it was. I remember when I was like 250 mapmywalk would tell me I burned 500 calories for only walking 3.75 miles over 75 minutes. I'd rather have an underestimate than an overestimate0
