SOS!!! Falling hard…

I seem to be falling into old habits and need to kick it in the butt NOW! Not eating breakfast and having a white chocolate breve. Not eating dinner and eating chocolate instead. I went for seeds and skins last night and got not one king size chocolate bar but they were 3 for $3 so I got 3. I must say I only ate one. Usually all three would be gone that night. So I can give myself that. I see now it’s all about being prepared. I will be heading to the store tonight to stock up on my breakfast and dinner items.

Planning ahead is all i can say. I try to plan on Sunday for the week ahead, including snacks. I bought some precooked turkey sausage crumbles-I find that just 1/8 of a cup with an egg white (and sometimes a skinny cow cheese) on a small carb balance tortilla is tasty and holds me to lunch. Sometimes i even log my food for the whole day in the morning. That way I know if I have any wiggle room for a treat during the day. Mostly, don't beat yourself up if you have a bad day. Don't do the "I messed up so I might as well have this too" thing. Just start from where you are! Good Luck!0

Yes. I will start being prepared on Sunday. I want to be out the 200's by July. I am 232 now. I usually do the "I messed up so I might as well have this too" thing, but not this time going for my goal of 155. Sick of the yo-yo dieting. Thanks so much!0

What works for me, is that I don't buy any regular candy anymore. The only chocolate in the house is the kind with a high cacao count and I eat an ounce a day. I find that's enough.

If you're still within your calorie limit, it's not really a catastrophe.0

You're not going to go 365-0; or 366 this year . When you "lose" a day, look to make sure you win the next day and the day after. I think the best advice is to plan ahead; that can be done in so many ways and differs for everyone. For me, I meal prep my breakfasts, lunches and snacks for the week during the weekend. That leaves me with tow potential weak points, dinner and after dinner. If I'm good, dinner and another snack fit into my daily calories and we move on. If I struggle, we move on and have a good day the next day. It's all about progress and you are moving down the right path; don't let a stumble push you off the path entirely!
Add me if you want a friend and some mutual motivation down this path.

I remember to not beat myself up. Do what you can. Count the calories. If all else fails, exercise. Burn off what you can. And move on.0

First don't go to the store hungry. Like the rest say PLAN PLAN PLAN. I make sure to include something sweet into my meal plan every single day because I know that is what I crave the most. Even then I buy the prepackaged candies such as fiber bars, 100 calorie packs, or lower calorie protein bars so that I'm actually getting something from it. Messing up one day is life, we have to live it the best we can. You CAN do this. Just remember you are worth more than chocolate. Your body is worth more than a few moments of candy satisfaction and if you still want it after all that thought then eat it but in moderation (no more king size bars). Depriving yourself is never good as eventually you will break.

Hubby and I have breakfast out right before hitting the grocery store.. it works wonders. And, it's one breakfast a week for me to enjoy bacon! Planning is key, as well as stocking up on healthier alternatives. For me 1/8 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips added to granola or by itself satisfies my sweet tooth.
Count every thing you eat and adjust accordingly. I won't forego a hot fudge sundae once in a blue moon, but it replaces a meal and is a special treat to myself. That said, I avoid comfort foods when I'm feeling down or stressed. Try to rewire why and when you crave these items and find a way to combat the craving. Learn the difference between being hungry and just emotional eating. Because that is why the majority of us are on a weight loss journey. When we figure out why we derail ourselves and when, it becomes easier to nip it in the bud.0
