I've done the first month of insanity before and had good result after three weeks. However, I was unable to complete it due to a knee injury and regain all the weight I lost.

I currently am doing Insanity again but have noticed no results. During my first round I limited myself to 1300 calories (which in all honesty was too low for me given that I always felt dizzy during the workouts). So I tried to caculate my calorie intake by using the Harris Benedict formula this time around but am confused by it all. Im 38 years old, 5'7, and 163 lbs female. According to the calorie calculations I should be eating close to 1900, but it seems really excessive.

I dont know what to do or if I'm calculating right. Any advice would be much appreciated.

I have no idea what your talking about lol but id like to think think that most ppl shouldn't intake more than 1500.
As for the insanity, that's exactly what it is...insanity. I've been told by trainers that it's hard on the body (in a bad way), strenuous. Probably still do the same moves the video is showing but at a slower pace. I have an online personal trainer who shows me moves but only for a min each (anywhere from 4-8 moves) A min is maximum. Some are only 30secs. You repeat this 3 times. In total you will have worked out for 15 mins. I find it great!

A lot of very active people will eat more than 1500 calories in a day...If you've only been at it for 3 weeks then you need to give yourself a break...your body is adjusting and your muscles are holding on to water....There are a million calorie counters out there...I would look at your BMR, look at your TDEE, and set a reasonable deficit for yourself....I don't know what your goals are, but your BMI suggests that you're on the edge of a healthy weight, so your loss should be geared at 0.5-1lb per week...Just my 2 cents =]
