I agree with the infographic. I have both in the house.0

Both work well with butter.0

both are about the same, however each provide some different nutrients. I use both in my household.0

I had one of each yesterday and eat one white potato with eggs almost every day. Yum!

Sabine started a similar discussion a while back: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10310465/interesting-discussion-on-white-potatoes-versus-sweet-potatoes
As I said then, I like and eat both.0 -

two different plants. It's like trying to compare apples and oranges.
potatoes are good for you. Sweet potatoes are god for you. In a contest of oven-baked slathered in melting butter, the white potato wins hands down.0 -
Don't sweet potatoes taste better? More flavor?0

It depends what macros your pushing for. National Geographic did a story a few years back that had a blurb about potato varietals... You should google it... You'd be shocked how limited our selection is vs. South America, where the majority of these are grown... And the farmers who grow them eat mostly potatoes, and get all of their nutrition from them, because it turns out that the composition of nutrients in each kind are hugely different! That's off topic, but the story kind of turned me into a potato nerd, and I've never fully recovered.0

Seriously? You are posing a question of taste as if it were a fact question? Why?0 -
