Does anyone live in the Central Ohio area? I'm always looking for workout buddies, walking partners, etc.

ALSO, there is a race coming up in 12 weeks. Training starts ASAP.

I haven't figured the details out yet, but it is in Centerburg, OH on September 28, 2013.

Is there anyone on this vast network that is MFP that may be interested in training with me and/or walking/slightly jogging with me on race day? I'm most interested in the half marathon, but I could be persuaded to do the 5k or 10k instead.

Pasted below is the verbiage from their flyer:

Busy Babes Marathon 2013
[Centerburg]

Central Ohio businesses are
joining the Busy Babes Marathon Committee to bring the
2013 race to central Ohio. On September 28, 2013
,
this 5k, 10k or half marathon run/walk is an
opportunity for women of all ages in and around the community to commit to improving their health,
body and soul.
The Busy Babes Marathon is a local initiative that calls attention to the importance of women's health.
Training for the race empowers women to take small, manageable steps for longer, healthier, happier
lives. The steps include encouraging women to visit a health care professional to receive regular
checkups and preventive screenings; get active; eat healthy; pay attention to their mental health,
including managing stress and getting enough sleep; and avoid unhealthy behaviors. Women are
encouraged to friend the Busy Babes Marathon on Facebook for weekly physical and spiritual
encouragement.
During the training, women receive facebook updates and are encouraged to get together to train for 12
weeks.
“The Busy Babes Marathon is important because it encourages women to make time for their health,"
says Aimee Humphrey, BBM coordinator
.
"Women are often the caregivers for their families and, as a
result, forget to make their own health a priority. With the Busy Babes Marathon, we remind women
that they, too, need to visit the doctor, make sure their screenings are up-to-date, get active and just take
time for their health."
The race is only $20.00 an training can start today! All participants take home a t-shirts, medal and
swag bag of goodies. Thank you Centerburg area sponsors for making this such an affordable race:
First Knox National Bank, Swisher Financial Concepts, Centerburg Chiropractic Center, Sunbury
Dental, Sunbury Chiropractic, Percheron Builders, ACS Title Company, and Becky Payne of Remax
Stars.
