Binge help !

I feel like im gonna binge. Will eating some protein make it stop ? Im over 500 calories now on my in take though.

    Worth a try. Something to fill the stomach I guess. Drinking a ton of water helps me if I want to eat food on day where I am avoiding all carbs. Still sucks tho

    I feel like I'm going to binge once in a while, if I do I am sure to have a refeed meal and eat at a slight surplus that day. I try to keep the meal high carb and protein and low fat, but you don't have to, it just helps with my weight lifting.

    If you feel like you're going to binge more than once per week, then you may need to reevaluate your dietary program.

    There are a number of strategies you can employ to avoid binging. Eating protein will make you feel full, but it won't address the underlying problem that's making you feel like you need to binge.

    Some things I would focus on are addressing that underlying problem. Why do you feel this way? Are you under a lot of abnormal stress today? Is binging a normal behavior for you or something you've encountered recently? Have you spread out your daily calorie allowance in such a way that you are controlling your hunger? For example, eating more volume by choosing less calorically dense items?

    Find out the why first, so you can fix it, then if this one time you need to eat at maintenance, so be it. At least you'll be on the right track and not fall off the wagon because of a moment's stress or miscalculation.
