So I came down with a bug yesterday and threw up alot of water and have not eaten anything since. I am worried I have done this to myself, At Christmas I was 217lbs and in 1 month I am now down 20lbs, I now workout 6 times a week (i used to do none) and am only managing to eat 1200-1300 calories on a regular basis (for 2lbs a week my calories is 1450) and I avoid eating exercise calories back. Is this too quick? I am so happy with my progress but don't want to run myself down to get this?

    Just sounds like a bug.

Why do you avoid eating back your exercise calories if you're following mfp method to lose weight?

I feel if I have overestimated my food, or underestimated my exercise calories (I don't completely trust my HRM as it says I burn more calories than the exercise machine...this is the opposite of what I have heard from others on MFP) then everything will even out

5 lbs a week is a bit much, I'd personally slow that down a bit. Add 100-200 cals - I imagine that your exercise is getting you tired - losing fast and not eating enough ends up affecting secondary nutrient availability for repair.

If you can't eat more 1200-1300 think of adding pleasure calories - a bit of chocolate, fruit with cream, ice cream, etc... whatever you enjoy.

I have been worried about the same thing. I am using trendweight and want to give it 20 days after my initial water weight quick decline. By Friday, I will trust its numbers - its been saying I am burning about almost 300 calories more than my plan (which is 1lb a week).

Only 5ft so MFP gave me 1200 cals/day for 1lb loss a week. I eat some exercise calories back so avg 1300 cals a day.

DH says I look more tired and have been acting scattered lately. My coworker says I look more pale and lethargic. I don't know if I believe them yet. Monitoring my body closely until Friday. I don't want to do this too fast.

It would also be nice to have a small treat more than 1x a week :)
