Completely wiped in the morning

I'm struggling to make it awake in the am lately, even if I go to bed at a decent hour. And walking up the hill on campus winds me like I'm 90... Why?
By 11 I am fine, and when I walk my dog in the evening I can do a kilometre in under ten minutes and feel great!
Is there something I'm doing that is causing this low energy in the am? Or something I can do to get rid of it?

Do you eat lots of carbs at night? (if you do, perhaps try eating them earlier in the day)0

Answering this question would take getting a good deal of information from you in order to analyze your personal stats, eating habits, how long has this been going on, is it intermittent, every day, exercise, medical conditions, busy schedules, family life, sleep quality, stress levels, etc... etc.. and to not even try to give you a medical type diagnosis in which only a doctor can give you..
If you want to disclose a lot more about your self and details, maybe some further advise can be forwarded to you that may be helpful..

Insufficient data. Specify age, height, weight, current macros, caloric intake, and goals.0

@gia07
Ok, Well, here is a pretty typical diary day:
FOOD: The recipes vary a bit, but the basic ingredients are the same, veggies, lentils, dried beans, lots of nuts or nut butters, chicken, tuna. Not a lot of dairy, but some. For breakfast, i will usually have either what is shown on this entry, or porridge with coconut, almond, flax.
EXERCISE: I get at least 30 min of exercise a day, more on the weekends (1-2 hrs), which currently consists of a pretty even split between walking and yoga. Usually Yoga in the am, and a walk in the evening (but the reverse on weekends)
MEDICAL CONDITIONS: None that I know of.
SCHEDULE: I'm pretty much a full time student and nothing else, so 6-8 hrs a day in classes and 2-3 hours a day doing homework/studying
SLEEP: I get 6-7 hours typically, usually 7, and more than that on the weekends.
STRESS: Not really too stressed until around finals
As for the AM weakness, I can only suppose it ties to my current diet somehow, because it only really started when i began restricting calories. I have been at my current school for 6 months now, and calorie restricting for just over one month. The school is on a hill, and parking is at the bottom of the hill. Prior to about 2 weeks ago, I did not have any difficulty walking up the hill, (about 200-250 m) to my first class, but lately I just feel weak in the knees going up that slope. I'm also having more trouble waking up in the AM (my alarm is set to 6:20 and I usually make it up by 6:30 to do some Yoga, but i have "Snoozed" the alarm for the last week and missed working out because it is so hard to drag my carcass out of bed. lol.
After sitting around for a couple of hours (til about 11, as i said,) in lectures, and walking around between classes, I feel fine again, and feel like i could walk anywhere. I don't usually get to feeling tired until about 10:30-11.
Not looking for a medical diagnosis, since i'm pretty sure its just something tied to my new diet, and i was massively overeating before. Just if anyone can spot something i'm doing wrong with my meal planning...

I pretty much always go over on fats and under on protein as well. And i'm noticing now that i have both rice and noodles on this entry... typically it is one or the other, or barley.0

when was the last time you had blood work done?
Are you taking Vit B's (like B12) C and D?
and is there anything particularly stressful about your life right now?
for what it's worth- I get winded every day I walk up the 3 flights to my desk- even when I was training for my half marathon running 3-4 times a week. Something about it always leaves me a little winded- it's not the same exertion as regular working out- so I get winded. I stopped worrying about that a long time ago- I know I'm fit.
I'd be more worried about the waking up situation- I have that happen to me occasionally- usually it's vitamin/sun related and winter time issues- add in any stress- and it's practically impossible some days for me to get up.0 -
@JoRocka
I'm taking a D supplement right now, (Winter in Canada) but that's about it. Haven't had a blood panel done in about three years.
I live in a third floor walk up, so stairs don't bother me, i carry groceries up them, and even run up them when i come home from my evening walk. And hills don't bother me, since most of my walking routes are chosen to keep me on upslope for as long as possible... its just that first thing in the morning.

My feet feel pretty heavy until after I've had a strong cup of coffee.
Also, do you eat breakfast before the lecture that ends at 11? Perhaps toy with meal timing a bit and see if you can tweak your energy levels that way if coffee or tea isn't for you.0 -

Can you eat any earlier? Perhaps your body is looking for fuel and not finding enough?0 -
What time are you going to sleep and what time are you getting up?0

Your diary looks light on iron containing foods. Any chance you'd be willing to ask your doctor for a blood draw, especially for anemia?
I am sloooooooow in the morning. Always have been, it's just how my internal clock works. You could be similar.
I would also wait and see how things change as summer approaches. You could be light sensitive, and need a blast of UV in the morning to get your brain going. Fellow Canadian here, and I know how the light changes my ability to deal.0 -
@brb_2013 I suppose i can try.
@jemhh I am supposed to be getting up at 6:30 and going to bed at 11 but I am having a hard time not hitting snooze these days.
@Katiebear_81 It has been a while since I've had a checkup. Struggling to find a family doctor since moving to NB, but i guess a walk in clinic would work just as well for a checkup.
thanks for replying everyone.0
