Same here! Lifting greatly reduced my neck and upper back pain.

It's been over 3 years since I've thrown my back out. All the core work from deads, squats and OHP have paid off. Plus, oddly enough, haven't had a single gout episode since I re-committed to lifting again. Prior to lifting it was happening about 2 times a year.
