Am I doing this right? Question re: Fitbit Calorie Adjustments

I currently have MFP set to lose 2lbs per week and my activity level to sedentary, so I get 1,200 calories per day. However, my FitBit will generally give me an extra 300-400 calorie adjustment a day, so, on a typical day, I eat around 1,400 or 1,500 calories.
I’ve noticed that if I change MFP to lightly active, it gives me 1,340 calories, but the Fitbit calorie adjustment is less, but averages out to about the same calories as if I set it at Sedentary and then get a larger Fitbit calorie adjustment.
So, do I just trust the FitBit adjustment and go with that? Or should I be sticking closer to the ‘actual’ calorie goal?
It’s been about 3 ½ weeks now and I’ve lost 8 pounds, so I’m meeting my 2lb/week goal. I’m just not sure whether that’s because it’s still kinda new though and the weight comes off faster at the beginning.
Thanks!

Weight does come off more easily at first--Partly water weight as your body adjusts to deficit, partly because your inefficient body burns calories faster the more you weigh.
The best advice is to set your mfp level to an honest, accurate level, let fitbit do its thing, enable negative adjustments, and monitor your estimated loss versus actual after a few weeks.0
