Not Food, But Health Related

This isn't concerning food, but would someone please give me the skinny (pun intended!) on "micellular" cleansing agents (such as make-up removers and skin toners)?? I am seeing this everywhere and would like to know if it's a marketing gimmick or if there's something to it.

I have no idea what "micellular" is supposed to mean, but I began using a micellular cleaner after my sister recommended it and I'm having fewer breakouts and my skin is softer.

I was curious, so I did a wee bit of research. Looks like it might be a thing. I didn't look at the size of these studies, but read the conclusions which seem to think these help by cleaning the surface without penetrating the skin much.

Thanks guys! Good to know. I'm glad to know it helped with your breakouts, Jane. I have terribly acne-prone skin and I'm in my 40s. Only Accutane has helped clear me up, but dermatologists are extremely hesitant to prescribe that (even to a woman like me who cannot conceive a baby). I think I'll give it a try!

Accutane is kinda scary. I know some people who have gotten ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease from it
